Warehouse and  Consolidation in China

Our warehouse in China is a 2,000 m² facility in Guangzhou that we run ourselves: we receive goods from your suppliers, count and check them, hold them while the rest of your orders arrive, repack and label them for the route, and dispatch everything as one consignment. The first 10 days of storage are free; after that it is $1 per m³ per day.

The warehouse is the reason the rest of the service works the way it does — goods physically pass through our hands before they cross the Pacific. Below: what happens to a shipment while it is with us, what storage costs, and when consolidation is worth it.

When consolidation pays for itself

If you buy from several suppliers, shipping each order separately means paying the fixed costs of freight and a customs entry more than once. Since the $800 de minimis exemption was withdrawn, every one of those shipments needs a full entry — which made splitting orders markedly more expensive than it was two years ago.

Orders wait for each other here at no cost for the first 10 days, which in practice covers most consolidation. The goods then travel as a single consignment — see freight forwarding from China to the USA for rates and transit times.

FAQ

How much does storage cost?+

The first 10 days are free, which is normally enough to consolidate several orders and prepare them for dispatch. After that it is $1 per m³ per day. On our full-service purchasing tariff, warehouse handling is included.

Can I send goods I bought myself?+

Yes. Give your supplier our Guangzhou address as the delivery point and we will receive, check and consolidate the goods, whether or not we handled the purchase.

How long can goods stay at the warehouse?+

There is no fixed limit — storage simply continues at $1 per m³ per day after the free period. In practice most shipments leave inside the first 10 days, because consolidation is usually the only reason to wait.

Do you prepare goods for Amazon FBA?+

We repack and label cartons for the route, including the country-of-origin marking US customs requires. Full FBA prep to Amazon’s own specification is not something we currently offer as a service — if that is what you need, tell us up front so you are not relying on it.

Will I see the goods before they ship?+

Yes. We photograph and film the goods at receipt and after packing, so you can approve, hold or reject the batch while it is still in China.
