What does importing from China actually cost?+
The cost has four parts: the price the factory charges, our commission (3% if you already have an invoice, 5% to buy from a link, 10% for the full service including inspection), freight (ocean from $180 per m³, air from $10 per kg), and duties according to your product’s HTS code. All four appear in one quote before any work starts.
Where do I start if I do not have a supplier yet?+
With supplier sourcing: $25 for a single product, first results in 2–3 working days. We check the factories’ registration data, compare offers from several manufacturers and negotiate in Chinese. The five-SKU format at $100 is a refundable deposit, credited against your order later.
Can I order just one service?+
Yes — each one stands alone. You can have us inspect a batch you bought elsewhere, ship goods you sourced yourself, or just use the warehouse for consolidation. The turnkey package is simply all the stages in one quote with one team answering for them.
What is the minimum shipment?+
We handle shipments from 30 kg. Below that, the fixed costs of handling and the customs entry usually outweigh what you saved on the goods — and since the $800 de minimis exemption ended, every commercial shipment needs a full entry regardless of value.
Who handles US customs and the duties?+
We do, by default: we work on DDP terms, filing the entry and settling duties and CBP fees, then handing over the full document set for your books. If you have your own customs broker, we deliver to the port or airport instead.
What duty will I pay on goods from China?+
There is no single rate — it depends on your product’s HTS code plus whichever Section 301 and Section 232 layers apply to it. We classify your goods and put the amount in your quote. The layers currently in force, with sources and dates, are in our guide to US import duties on goods from China.
How long does the whole process take?+
From enquiry to dispatch is usually days rather than weeks — sourcing, negotiation, production or picking, then inspection. The freight itself is 30–35 days by ocean or 15–20 days by air to the United States. The realistic door-to-door date goes in your quote.
Who do I sign the contract with?+
We operate through Chinese and Hong Kong entities as well as a Ukrainian one, and the contract is arranged to suit your side. For a US buyer that normally means signing with the Hong Kong company — tell us your preferred format and we will confirm what is possible before anything is paid.
